We begin the journey by visiting Thingvellir National Park, which is where the Icelandic congress originated more than one thousand years ago. While there, you get to experience the earth pulling along the North America and Eurasian tectonic plates up close and personal, in addition to being able to experience with your own eyes where the Viking settlers stood eras ago when they were announcing the national laws.

The next stop during the journey is the Geysir geothermal region in Haukadalur, which allows you to see springs, hot springs, eerie blue algae, steam vents and more. This is home to Strokkur, which is one of the most powerful and biggest geysers that erupt approximately every five minutes. 

Next, we continue on to the Golden Circle so you can see the Gullfoss waterfall, which is the queen of Icelandic waterfalls. Once here we stop for a break at the Gullfoss Restaurant, you are responsible for paying the bill, and then we continue to see the main attraction – the Northern Lights. If the weather allows it, we also visit Faxi, which is one of the smaller yet beautiful waterfalls, and the Kerið Crater.

The final task is to find the Northern Lights. We feel that this is the perfect way to end and already amazing tour. Aurora Borealis is beautiful and with clear skies and luck, you will see them up close and personal.
